    Hi Dave,

We are sorry to hear you are having trouble with the Xpander on Mac. Since release we have found out that the Xpander can cause a crash on some Sierra (10.12) / High Sierra (10.13) systems upon loading. We are working on a version to fix this bug.

We do have an alternative solution for our Sierra / High Sierra users. You can download and install the Xpander version that is meant for BigSur system. That version does not cause a crash and is fully functional as it normally would be. The only drawback is that it has a slight color gradient difference on the interface, near the knobs. We believe this is a good temporary fix until we release an update.

The BigSur version of Xpander can be downloaded here: https://webshop.oz-soft.com/en/vst-plugin/9-xpander-vst-plugin-macos-bigsur-only.html

    Instructions before installing:
Please delete the earlier version manually. The component file can be found here: System/library/audio/plug-ins/components/

A new / different version of the Xpander cannot be installed until you remove that manually.

Please let me know if it all worked out or if you have any further questions.

Thanks - that did the trick! I got a warning about a previous installation, so I removed the /library/Xpander folder (just to be on the safe side), and everything works well now!!

Thanks again for the super-quick response, and I've now got my hands full playing around with Xpander - veeeeery sweet stuff!
